BAKED APPLE AND PEAR CHIPS

Ingredients


  • 2 firm, medium sized pear, such as Bosc
  • 2 medium sized apple, such as Gala, Red Delicious, or Granny Smith
  • 1⁄2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 6 tsp sucralose sweetener, such as Splenda, or to taste

Directions

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Coat two baking sheets with nonstick cooking spray or line with parchment paper.
Very thinly slice pears and apples to about 1/8 inch thickness using a sharp knife, mandolin, or in a food processor fitted with the slicing blade. Mix together cinnamon and sweetener in a small bowl until thoroughly combined. Arrange fruit slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheets and sprinkle with cinnamon mixture.
Bake, turning the chips over halfway through, for 30 to 45 minutes or until the chips are dried and the edges curl up. Transfer to wire racks to cool. The chips will get crispier while cooling.
